Results are in from Tuesday’s election. Voter turnout for the Republican primary was solid at 41.9 percent with 1,439 ballots cast out of 3,434 registered voters.
Steve Strande is Kingsbury County’s new sheriff, defeating fellow deputy Wade Hoefert. Strande won four of six county voting precincts, with vote totals of 59 percent (736 votes) to Hoefert’s 41 percent (513 votes).
