Beck is a daughter of Holly and Blaine Beck and DeDeyne is a son of Kathy and Brad De Deyne.

Other candidates were Grace Albrecht, Abbi Flood, Emily Martens, Koby Spader, Baylor Beck and Dominic Hansen.

Avery Asleson and Emmet Zell served as first-grade crown bearers. Avery is a daughter of Shon and Barb Asleson and Emmet is a son of Darin and Amy Zell.

Senior Michelle Wiese was master of ceremonies for the festivities, which included several selections by the pep band, introductions of the sports teams, talks by the coaches, and cheers and a skit by the cheerleaders. During the skit, the cheerleaders chose several contestants to play a game to see how many fun facts they could match to the correct king or queen contestant.

Following the recessional, students attended the traditional burning of the "DS" in the school parking lot.

Students will participate in various activities throughout the week, including a parade Friday prior to the pep rally on Calumet Avenue, the first homecoming parade in several years.

The Bulldogs meet the Estelline-Hendricks Grizzlies at 7 p.m. Friday for the homecoming game at Wilkinson Field.
